In addition, the representatives of the state’s public companies presented to the Minister of Portfolio, Jean Lucien Bussa, the results of their mission in China, with the aim of preparing the submission of bankable projects to the Task Force set up by the President of the Republic. These meetings provided an opportunity for each company to report on its projects and their viability, with a view to benefiting as much as possible from the economic assistance announced by China, estimated at $50 billion for African countries.
Augustin Nkuba, CEO of the National Hydrocarbons Company of Congo (SONAHYDROC), stressed the importance of presenting solid and bankable projects to attract Chinese investment. Each company committed to providing well-prepared and promising projects, thus demonstrating its determination to play a major role in strengthening economic relations between China and the DRC.
