New era for Congolese journalism: Kamanda wa Kamanda Muzembe elected president of the UNPC

The recent election within the Steering Committee of the National Union of the Press of Congo (UNPC) in 2024 has given rise to a new deal within the journalistic body. Kamanda wa Kamanda Muzembe, a former renowned journalist, was elected president of the UNPC with a comfortable majority of votes, thus reaffirming his uncontested position within the profession. His victory, with 87 votes out of 153 voters, demonstrates the confidence placed in him by his peers.
