Healing Symphony: Music for Peace in Goma and Bukavu

Fatshimetrie, September 16, 2024 – In a humanitarian and musical surge that is awakening in the heart of the displaced persons camps in Goma and Bukavu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, music therapy sessions are preparing to enlighten and comfort the wounded souls of the populations. It is at the initiative of the Asbl JUA-rencontre that a harmonious meeting of world music is taking shape, from September 17 to 28.

This symphony of healing and social cohesion promises to be an oasis in the desert of conflicts and forced displacements. The heart of the event will beat to the rhythm of positive and constructive communication, an essential key in peacebuilding. Freed Mushanga, member of the organizing committee, underlines the importance of this edition focused on the communicative and unifying power of music.
