The Democratic Republic of Congo faces many socio-economic challenges, but a glimmer of hope is on the horizon for its youth. Thanks to the initiative of the association “Junior Chamber International” (JCI), young Congolese are offered unique opportunities to train and prosper in the field of entrepreneurship.

According to Ms. Silindile Mbaza, Vice President of JCI, the primary objective of the association in the DRC is to support youth entrepreneurship by establishing partnerships with the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as various educational institutions and youth associations. Through quality training and a vast international network, young Congolese will not only be able to develop their business skills, but also connect to global opportunities in the 120 countries where JCI is established, bringing together 220,000 active members.

The arrival of Ms. Silindile Mbaza in Kinshasa also marked the launch of the “JCI junior” program, allowing young people aged 14 to 21 to improve their skills in entrepreneurship and acquire the skills needed to succeed as entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to train a new generation of talented and ambitious entrepreneurs, ready to take on the challenges of the business world.

While meeting with government, university and associative authorities in Kinshasa, the JCI Vice President explained the benefits of this training program for Congolese youth. Mr. Trésor Kalonji, President of JCI in the DRC, emphasizes that the association provides young people with skills that can really make a difference and contribute to the creation of a true class of entrepreneurs in the country, in line with the vision of the Head of State.

Founded in 1915, JCI has been training leaders for over a century, and its collaboration with the government, universities and youth organizations in the DRC could open new economic prospects for the country. By giving young Congolese the tools they need to succeed in the business world, JCI is contributing to the emergence of a new generation of dynamic and visionary entrepreneurs, ready to propel the Congolese economy to new heights.

In conclusion, JCI represents real hope for Congolese youth by offering quality entrepreneurship training opportunities and connecting them to a global network of opportunities. In a context where entrepreneurship is an essential pillar of economic development, JCI plays a crucial role in promoting entrepreneurship among young people and in building a prosperous future for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
