In a spirit of renewal and promises, the Minister of Finance of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Doudou Fwamba, met with the governor of the city province of Kinshasa, Daniel Bumba, to discuss the measures to be taken to clean up the Congolese capital.

At the heart of this meeting, the promise to put in place the necessary resources to restore Kinshasa to its former glory. Minister Fwamba pledged to intensify the cleaning and sanitation work, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming rainy season. A real breath of fresh air for the city’s residents who have been waiting a long time for quality infrastructure.

It is with this in mind that the Minister stressed the importance of selecting competent companies, capable of guaranteeing the sustainability of the construction sites. The search for excellence in the construction of infrastructure is thus at the heart of concerns, so that the new roads are usable in the long term.

“This time, we must obtain concrete results, registered in the long term, when we support the city of Kinshasa”, declared the minister. A long-term vision that aims to give the Congolese capital a cleaner, more structured and more functional face.

Governor Bumba, for his part, presented a plan for the rehabilitation of the most urgent roads in the city, such as Kabinda, Asosa, Kalembelembe, and Bokassa avenues. An ambitious program that aims to renovate no less than 27.28 kilometers of Kinshasa’s main arteries, including sections on several emblematic avenues.

Entitled “Coup de Poing Kinshasa”, this program is based on three major axes: sanitation, drainage of gutters, and the rehabilitation of roads, some of which require rigid concrete pavements. An ambitious initiative that aims to restore the capital to its former glory and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.

In conclusion, this desire displayed by the Congolese authorities to give new impetus to Kinshasa is a glimmer of hope for all citizens. A cleaner, better-equipped and more functional city is within reach, to the delight of all. It remains to implement these good intentions, so that Kinshasa can finally regain its place of pride and influence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
