The Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum: A Springboard for Innovation and Development

The Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum opened this Monday, with the notable presence of Prime Minister Judith SUMINWA TULUKA. This event, organized by the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation, aims to highlight talents and innovations “Made in Congo” to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

In an opening speech full of vision and determination, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of scientific research and technological innovation in building a prosperous and internationally competitive Democratic Republic of Congo.

This initiative is perfectly in line with the government’s vision of promoting an ecosystem conducive to the emergence of new technologies and the valorization of Congolese scientific genius. Indeed, the Government’s Action Program highlights the need to build a society based on technological excellence and innovation.

The Prime Minister stressed that the research and innovation sector is an essential lever to support the six pillars of the Government’s Action Program. She also praised the role of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation in implementing this ambitious vision.

During her visit to the various exhibition stands, the Prime Minister was able to discover the diversity of projects presented by Congolese researchers. Initiatives covering a wide range of fields such as environmental sciences, medicine, human sciences, agronomy, and aeronautics were presented.

The call of the Minister of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation for the creation of a Sovereign Fund to support the scientific and technological development of the DRC resonates as a necessity to ensure continued support for these talented researchers and innovators.

Ultimately, the Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum is much more than just a meeting. It is a true showcase of Congolese know-how and a unique opportunity to highlight the excellence of scientific research and technological innovation in the service of the country’s development.
