The troubled region of Goma, located in the North Kivu province, has recently been the scene of a remarkable humanitarian action by the company Hakiri Holding. Indeed, last weekend, more than 500 displaced people living on the outskirts of the city received essential food and non-food aid from this organization. This act of generosity made it possible to provide the displaced people with basic necessities such as flour, milk, sugar, salt, as well as clothing adapted to the local climate.
Josué Kinfuki Takizala, Managing Director of Hakiri Holding, stressed the importance of helping these vulnerable populations, in cooperation with committed partners. The company’s team mobilized to visit the various displacement camps around Goma, thus demonstrating its commitment to the well-being and dignity of these people in distress.
During this back-to-school period, Hakiri Holding also offered school kits to displaced children, including notebooks, pens and backpacks. These educational supplies will allow children to continue their schooling despite the difficult conditions in which they are currently living.
Josué Kinfuki Takizala expressed his emotion at the suffering endured by these vulnerable populations and stressed that this humanitarian action is part of a process of solidarity and support for the displaced people in the region. He called on the authorities, humanitarian actors and all people of good will to mobilize to help these children and their families in need.
This initiative by Hakiri Holding in favor of the displaced people of Goma demonstrates the ability of companies to get involved in concrete humanitarian actions and to provide valuable support to vulnerable populations. It also recalls the importance of solidarity and mutual aid in regions affected by conflicts and humanitarian crises.
