A Tribute to Emir Danyaya of Ningi Emirate

The recent death of Emir Danyaya of Ningi Emirate has plunged the region into deep sadness. The news of his demise came on Sunday morning, ending a long battle with illness at Kano Hospital. Alhaji Usman Sule, Secretary of Ningi Emirate Council, confirmed the death in an official statement. The Emir died at Expert Alliance Hospital, Kano, two days after returning from a medical trip to Makkah on August 22.

The death of this eminent traditional leader had a profound impact on the community. His reign, which began in 1978 as the first ruler of Bauchi State, was marked by a rapid transformation in the social and economic development of the emirate council. A native of Ningi, Emir Danyaya was born in 1936 and attended Ningi Primary School from 1941 to 1946 and Bauchi Middle School from 1946 to 1951.

Emir Danyaya’s legacy will forever be remembered in the history of the region. His commitment to the progress and well-being of his community has been lauded by many observers. His passing leaves a void that will be hard to fill, but his legacy of wisdom and leadership will continue to inspire generations to come.

The Emir’s funeral ceremony will be held at the Emir’s Palace of Ningi at 4:00 pm and will be an opportunity for the community to pay tribute to a man who dedicated his life to the service of his people. May his soul rest in peace and his memory remain etched in our hearts for eternity.
