Meeting between FOGEC and ARSP: Towards enhanced support for Congolese entrepreneurs for the emergence of a dynamic middle class

A strategic meeting was recently held between the Congolese Entrepreneurship Guarantee Fund (FOGEC) and the Postal Sector Regulatory Agency (ARSP), two key institutions of the Ministry of Industry and SME Development. The objective of this meeting was to discuss concrete means to be put in place to effectively support local entrepreneurs, with the aim of promoting the emergence of a dynamic Congolese middle class.

During this working session, representatives of the two entities discussed various strategic topics, including the issue of the FOGEC fee on the subcontracting market. This fee, set up to support entrepreneurs, was at the heart of discussions between members of the two institutions. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of FOGEC, Felly SAMUNA, and the Director General of ARSP, Miguel Kashal, shared their vision and expertise on the issue.

In a press statement after the meeting, FOGEC Director General Laurent Munzemba stressed the importance of this fraternal meeting. He highlighted the shared desire of the two entities to work in synergy to realize the vision of President Félix Tshisekedi, which aims to create an environment conducive to the development of entrepreneurs and job creation in Congo. According to him, the subcontracting fee is an essential tool to support entrepreneurs in carrying out their projects.

For his part, Miguel Kashal Katemb, DG of ARSP, stressed the importance of this joint work to support entrepreneurs holding contracts, by providing them with the necessary means to carry out their activities. This collaboration between FOGEC and ARSP is part of a global approach aimed at strengthening support for Congolese entrepreneurs and promoting their growth on the market.
