Fatshimetrie, August 11, 2024 – Congolese youth were recently at the heart of a cutting-edge training focused on public speaking and business creation. Organized in a commune in northern Kinshasa, this initiative aims to encourage youth empowerment through entrepreneurship.
During this training, Jean Remy Bofola, coordinator of the non-profit organization Jeunes en action, stressed the importance for young people to embark on entrepreneurship in order to develop their communication and persuasion skills. He also encouraged young people to build relationships in their field of activity and to network with experienced people.
In addition, David Ekalama, an entrepreneurship expert, stressed the need for a conscious and competent youth. He shared practical advice on saving, bank account management, effective communication with customers and business management. He stressed that success in society does not depend solely on an office job, but can also be achieved through entrepreneurship.
The training, which is in its third edition in 2024, is part of the “Femme de repère” project and is organized by the ASBL Jeunes en action, active in the DRC since 2019. This association aims to promote and defend the rights of youth, as well as contribute to the development of the country by encouraging unity and collective action.
The feedback from the training participants was very positive. Amélie Boketshu, one of the participants, expressed her satisfaction with the knowledge acquired, emphasizing the impact it will have on her daily activities.
In short, this initiative reflects the commitment to Congolese youth by providing them with essential tools and knowledge for their empowerment and development. It highlights the opportunities offered by entrepreneurship and the importance of communication and public relations in professional success.
