In a context of great importance, the Minister of Youth and Sports, during a ministerial meeting with the youths of the Abuja South Federal Constituency, highlighted critical points regarding youth engagement in Kwali Council Area, FCT. The meeting was aimed at enlightening the participants on the adverse consequences of protests and dissuading them from participating in them. Similar interactions are expected to take place with the youths and stakeholders in Bwari and Gwagwalada Area Councils in the coming days.

In the dialogue, the Minister stressed the importance of not engaging in premature protests. She recalled that the current government is still new and it is unfair to judge it based on one year in office. She highlighted the progress made in key sectors such as education, health and security, highlighting efforts to improve security in the region. She called on residents to support the security agencies and foster a climate of trust and cooperation.

Furthermore, the Minister addressed the establishment of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Abaji, stressing the desire to make the university one of the best in the country. She outlined ongoing projects for the construction of classrooms, lecture halls and laboratories, with the aim of providing quality infrastructure for students.

While addressing land issues, the Minister highlighted the recurring obsession with land in Abuja, to the detriment of development. She expressed concerns about the excessive focus on land, to the detriment of other critical issues such as infrastructure, health services and education.

In conclusion, the Minister stressed the need to prioritise peace and prosperity in the region, urging residents to engage positively in building a harmonious and prosperous community. This message reinforces the idea that sustainable development and collective fulfillment must take precedence over individual interests, to build a promising future for all.
