**Fatshimetry: For a city of Luxor that is cleaner and more welcoming to tourists**

The city of Luxor, cradle of ancient Egyptian civilization and a center of global tourism, is adopting innovative measures to maintain the cleanliness of its streets and offer a quality tourist experience. Luxor Governor Abdel-Muttalib Emara recently announced support for horse-drawn carriage owners in the form of 500 bags of horse manure. This action aims to protect the city’s streets from waste and guarantee a healthy environment for residents and visitors.

With this in mind, any infraction will be severely punished in order to maintain the beauty of the city and to encourage the tourist movement which constitutes its heart. Luxor Municipality Manager Ali al-Sharaby is actively overseeing the replacement and installation of new horse beds, with the aim of reducing animal waste and preserving the aesthetics of the city for the enjoyment of tourists and local residents.

The process of replacing manure bags for horse-drawn carriages is already underway, and it is expected that all owners will comply with this regulation within a maximum of ten days. Any violation of this directive will be subject to sanctions in accordance with current environmental legislation, and appropriate legal measures will be taken to ensure compliance with these standards.

Horse-drawn carriages are an integral part of Luxor’s tourist charm, offering visitors the opportunity to discover the city’s various iconic sites, stroll along the Nile Corniche or explore the region’s picturesque streets. Although only 340 horse-drawn carriages are officially licensed, the number of unlicensed drivers is increasing, requiring corrective action from the relevant authorities.

In conclusion, Luxor is committed to providing a quality tourist experience by strengthening hygiene and cleanliness measures in its public spaces. This initiative will help preserve the environment, ensure the health and safety of residents and visitors, and maintain the cultural and aesthetic appeal of the city. Thanks to effective waste management and preventive actions, Luxor is consolidating its reputation as a flagship tourist destination, where history and modernity combine harmoniously for the greatest happiness of all.
