The coalition’s dynamics reflect the implications of recent advances and substantial reforms made in various sectors by the current administration. The Tinubu administration’s tangible and significant progress in just one year has finally rendered any negative criticism or protests moot, argue Comrade co-conveners Timothy Achaluda and Abubakar Babangida Abubakar.
The UGNC highlighted the contributions of some ministers, particularly Festus Keyamo, Abubakar Kyari and Joseph Terlumun Utsev, whose innovative and pragmatic approaches have benefited the general population.
Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has been hailed for revitalizing the sector. “His innovative ideas improved infrastructure and restored dignity to the country’s airports,” the coalition said.
Similarly, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, was lauded for his promotion of year-round agriculture, an important step towards food and nutrition security.
Joseph Terlumun Utsev, Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, has been commended for his pragmatic approach in solving the country’s water resource problems, thereby promoting socio-economic growth.
The UGNC highlighted the positive trajectory of the incumbent administration and urged Nigerians to support Tinubu’s efforts. “We are pleased with the developments in these key sectors and will not allow the enemies of the country to roll back the progress made by Keyamo, Utsev and Kyari,” the organizers said.
Furthermore, the UGNC warned against the planned demonstrations, alleging that they are orchestrated by individuals with hidden intentions. “These protests do not truly reflect the will of the people but are a reckless attempt to incite violence and distract the government from the priorities of the people.”
The coalition urged Nigerians, especially the youth, to avoid protests and continue to support the initiatives of the Tinubu administration for a prosperous and peaceful future.
This position highlights the importance of recognizing and encouraging positive initiatives, while rejecting attempts to disrupt the country’s democratic and development process. Trust in political leaders is essential to guarantee the stability and progress of the nation.
