The annual gathering to evaluate the performance of the Kisangani 1 educational sub-province, for the 2023-2024 edition, was solemnly inaugurated by the mayor of Kisangani, in a framework which advocates educational excellence. During the opening ceremony, the mayor, Delly Likunde Litawehe, underlined the importance of this event to achieve the objectives set by the Congolese government and to support the socio-economic development of the country.
Under the theme of “improving the quality of education to stimulate socio-economic development”, this three-day meeting aims to evaluate the performance of the local education system. Stakeholders in the education sector will work together to analyze the results against the objectives initially set, while taking into account the needs of the school population and the available educational infrastructure.
With this in mind, specialized subcommittees have been set up, each focusing on a specific aspect of evaluation: access to education, quality of teaching and educational governance. This approach will allow an in-depth analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the local education system, as well as the implementation of concrete recommendations to improve the situation.
Local authorities, educational staff, representatives of civil society and stakeholders from the educational community actively participate in these meetings, thus demonstrating their commitment to the continuous improvement of education in Kisangani. This annual gathering is a valuable opportunity to collectively reflect on the actions to be taken to guarantee quality education for all, thus contributing to the overall development of the region.
In short, the annual performance review of the Kisangani 1 educational sub-province is more than a simple evaluation: it is a common commitment to quality education, a guarantee of a better future for Congolese youth.
