Fatshimetrie, Kinshasa, July 14, 2024 — The labor sports clubs of Kinshasa recently received a special invitation to participate in the prestigious “Tournoi Pool Malebo”. This renowned sporting event is organized by the Departmental League of Labor Sports of Brazzaville (LDSTB) and will be held from August 10 to 15, 2024 in the capital of the Republic of Congo. This invitation, emanating from Mrs. Lucie Brigitte Mvilakanda, President of the LDSTB, attests to the recognition of the performances of the Kinshasa teams in the field of labor sports.
The invitation, dated July 8, 2024, was addressed to the Congolese Federation of Amateur Labor Sports (Fecostra) and details the conditions of participation for interested teams. Interested local clubs will have to cover the costs of transport, accommodation and meals, while the participation fee is 150,000 FCFA.
The Provincial League of Labour and Amateur Sports of Kinshasa (Liprostrakin), set up on December 23, 2023 by the President of Fecostra, Bienvenu-Marie Bakumanya, is a key entity in the development of Labour sports in the region. Its committee, composed of nine members including four women, is headed by Ms. Jeanne Maheshe, accompanied by a dynamic and committed team to promote sporting excellence within the community.
This tournament represents a unique opportunity for Kinshasa clubs to compete against other teams in the region and showcase their talent and determination.
