Fatshimetrie, July 8, 2024 – The third phase of the prestigious Bible lovers competition, now organized online, was officially launched this Monday in the Mont Amba group, in the heart of Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is under the aegis of the Bibloc association, and more particularly its committed president, Vanessa Baya, that this cultural and spiritual meeting aims to bring together young people aged 18 to 30, from different faiths, around of the sacred Word.
The objective of this competition, beyond entertainment, is to measure the biblical knowledge of the participants and to remind young people of the importance of reading the Bible in their daily lives. Vanessa Baya thus underlines that the personal transformation of each person is largely based on attention to the Word of God. Faced with the predominance of social networks and the decline in the practice of Bible reading among young Christians, the organization of this competition presents itself as a saving and educational initiative.
Beyond the competition, which will take place during school holidays, this challenge aims to engage students and teachers interested in delving further into the study and knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. Registrations for the Tshangu district will be open from August 8 to 25, followed by registration throughout the city province of Kinshasa and the group written test. The semi-finals and the final are scheduled for August 24 and 31 respectively.
Thus, the Bible Lovers’ Competition, through its fun and educational nature, intends to offer young Christians an opportunity to come together around common values and strengthen their faith by fully appropriating sacred teachings. This welcome initiative, by honoring the divine Word, breathes new life into the Christian youth of Kinshasa, inviting them to refocus on the essential and cultivate their spirituality in a world in perpetual movement.
