Validation of the powers of substitutes strengthens democracy in Kongo-Central

Fatshimetrie is a renowned online newspaper that reports daily on political and social events taking place in the Kongo-Central province. In its June 28, 2024 edition, the newspaper highlighted the validation of the powers of substitutes Yala Nkuanga Anne-Marie and Mbiyavanga Nkuansambu Levieux during the plenary session held the day before.

The provincial deputies of Kongo-Central took the decision to ratify the mandates of the two substitutes who respectively replace Nkuanga Masuangi Bilolo Grace, elected governor, and Ntela Tambidila Prospère, vice-governor of the province. Thus, the new MP Anne-Marie Yala Nkuanga will represent the territory of Tshela, while Levieux Mbiyavanga will be in charge of the territory of Mbanza-Ngungu.

During this plenary session, the PAJ commission, headed by MP Jean Malongo, presented a detailed report on the files of substitutes, a report which was approved by the elected representatives of the people. The president of the deliberative body, Papy Mantezolo Diatezua, announced the closure of the ordinary March session for the following day, at 12:30 p.m.

This decision taken by the provincial deputies of Kongo-Central is of capital importance for the proper functioning of the institutions of the province.
