Fatshimetrie produced special coverage by publishing the strong and committed words of the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Judith Suminwa Tuluka, during the commemorative mass celebrated at the Notre-Dame du Congo cathedral in Kinshasa. During this event marking the 35th anniversary of the disappearance of Cardinal Malula, Ms. Tuluka spoke with emotion of the security and humanitarian challenges facing the country.

At the heart of her speech, the Prime Minister underlined her government’s firm commitment to fighting against Rwanda’s aggression and putting an end to the persistent insecurity affecting many regions of the DRC. She called for national unity and the collaboration of all citizens to stand together against these problems which hinder development and peace in the country.

Specifically mentioning the violence in the east of the country involving the M23 and the Congolese army, as well as the activities of the Mobondo militias in the Grand Bandundu area, the Prime Minister highlighted the distress of the populations caught at the heart of these conflicts . In addition, she recalled the suffering of victims of natural disasters, such as those occurring in Tanganyika, thus demonstrating the complexity of the challenges facing the DRC.

Faced with these major issues, Judith Suminwa Tuluka made a poignant call for the mobilization of all actors in Congolese society, including the Catholic Church, to work together to resolve these crucial issues. She stressed that solidarity and cooperation were essential elements to overcome obstacles and build a better future for all Congolese.

Despite the determination displayed by the Congolese government to restore peace and security, uncertainty remains regarding the definitive resolution of these conflicts and crises. It is clear that the task is arduous and will require sustained efforts from the entire national community.

Ultimately, the words of Judith Suminwa Tuluka resonate as a vibrant call to action and solidarity, inviting each Congolese citizen to contribute, in their own way, to the construction of a more stable, more prosperous and more peaceful. The path to peace is strewn with pitfalls, but it is together, by joining forces, that we can overcome these obstacles and build a better future for all.
