**Fatshimétrie: The baroque classical music and opera competition in the Democratic Republic of Congo**
Baroque classical music and opera are musical styles of great elegance and profound artistic richness. This competition, which brought together sixteen talented classical musicians, saw eight of them selected for the grand final, under the watchful eye of artistic director Clauvice Makabu.
Since May 2024, musicians have competed in talent and virtuosity to stand out and reach the final of the competition. The objective of this competition, in partnership with the Wallonia Brussels office, is to celebrate World Music Day and to promote lyrical art and voice in the Haut-Katanga province.
