– The inaugural meeting of the Council of Ministers under the government of Judith Suminwa chaired by Félix Tshisekedi was the focus of attention this Monday, June 17 in Kinshasa.
– The Suminwa government team was given clear and precise objectives, focused on key sectors such as security, peace, human development and good governance, demonstrating a fierce desire for concrete results.
– In his orientation speech, the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, stressed the importance of the efficiency and commitment of each member of the government in carrying out the missions entrusted to them.
– A new era is therefore beginning, marked by an increased demand for performance and results, with pressure put on the Suminwa Government for strict discipline and a quarterly evaluation of its actions.
– The importance of government solidarity and impeccable conduct was clearly reiterated by the Head of State, emphasizing the obligation for ministers to set aside their political and religious affiliations in order to devote themselves fully to their mission in the service of the Nation.
– Furthermore, the National Assembly gave its approval for the Government to be able to legislate during the parliamentary recess on sensitive issues such as the extension of the state of siege in the provinces of Ituri and North Kivu, as well as loan agreements with international partners for the development of the country.
– In parallel with these political events, controversies surrounding the remuneration of national deputies were rekindled by statements by Vital Kamerhe, provoking reactions and questions.
– Thus, while national opinion remains unclear about the exact figures for the emoluments of national deputies, this new government seems to pave the way for significant changes and real transparency in the management of public affairs in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
– The future therefore seems marked by significant challenges but also by prospects for progress and development for the country, under the leadership of a government team committed and determined to meet the expectations of the Congolese population.
