An impeachment campaign targets Christophe Mboso N’kodia, president of the age bureau of the National Assembly in the Democratic Republic of Congo. An initiative launched by national Republican deputies aims to collect signatures for his dismissal, just before the election of the final office of the legislative institution.

According to information relayed by various media, MP Steve Mbikayi confirms that around a hundred signatures have already been collected to dismiss Christophe Mboso from his position as dean of the provisional office, while other sources already mention 120 signatures. These signatures are currently being validated in the People’s Palace, where some deputies are impatiently awaiting the publication of the list of candidates selected for the election of the final office.

The initiators of the petition accuse Christophe Mboso of scheming to prevent the candidacy of Mbusa Nyamwisi for the post of second vice-president of the permanent office, with the aim of eliminating all competition and positioning himself as the sole candidate.

This situation raises questions about political stability and governance within the Congolese National Assembly. Political tensions and rivalries seem to be at their height, highlighting the issues and power struggles within the parliamentary institution.

It is crucial to closely follow the evolution of this impeachment campaign and its possible repercussions on the national political scene. The coming days will be decisive for the future of Christophe Mboso N’kodia at the head of the age office of the National Assembly and for the configuration of power within this key institution of Congolese political life.
