The wave of pro-Palestinian demonstrations which have shaken several university campuses in Europe in recent days illustrates the extent of international solidarity towards Palestine. From Paris to Geneva, via Berlin and Amsterdam, students mobilized to express their support for the Palestinian people in the face of recent Israeli attacks in Gaza.

At the University of Geneva, an occupied amphitheater was the scene of a general assembly where the voices of pro-Palestinian students were raised with determination. This action symbolizes the commitment of young people to justice and peace in the Middle East.

In Paris, despite police intervention to disperse the gatherings in front of Sciences Po and the Sorbonne, students maintained their position of solidarity with Gaza and condemnation of the repression of pro-Palestinian movements. The echoing slogans resonate as a call to action for governments to take concrete steps to end the suffering of the Palestinians.

In Germany, demonstrations are increasing, with tents set up on campuses in Berlin and Cologne. The students demand an academic boycott of Israeli institutions and demand an immediate ceasefire, the restoration of funding for UNRWA and an end to the occupation and apartheid. These demands demonstrate a desire for change and a search for solutions to put an end to the cycle of violence in the Middle East.

In Amsterdam, the student camp dispersed by the police shows the determination of young people to make their voices heard. Despite the difficulties encountered, their commitment remains intact, proving that the fight for justice and dignity has no borders.

In Switzerland, the mobilization of pro-Palestinian students is intensifying, with occupations of premises in Lausanne, Zurich and Geneva. EPFL and EPFZ were the scene of peaceful protests demanding urgent action to end the suffering of the Palestinian people. Resistance is being organized, in an unprecedented surge of solidarity.

In this context of student mobilization, it is crucial that European and international authorities take into account the legitimate demands of young people in favor of peace and justice for Palestine. The voice of youth is a cry of hope for a better future, where cooperation and respect for human rights will prevail over violence and oppression.
