During the day of May 6, 2024, nearly nineteen thousand five hundred students presented themselves in the sixty-one examination centers spread across the province of Tshopo to take the dissertation test of the state exam. Among these secondary school finalists, there are nearly eight thousand five hundred girls, demonstrating the commitment and determination of Congolese youth to continue their studies.

The provincial director of EPST/Tshopo 1, Alain Mwimbi Mwimbi, encouraged the candidates to approach this test with confidence and calm. The opening of the trunks containing the tests, carried out by the interim governor of the province, Heri Baraka, in the courtyard of the Kisangani Institute, marked the official launch of these tests. This event was an opportunity for the governor to underline the importance of rigor, kindness, conscience and professionalism of the inspectors and supervisors responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the tests.
The main provincial inspector of EPSR/Tshopo, Léon Omandeka, expressed the wish to see all the actors involved give the best of themselves in order to allow the province to obtain the best winners in the DRC. He stressed that positive results would help provide more scholarships to students, paving the way for a bright future for the region’s youth.
The presence of members of the provincial security committee, supervisors from Kinshasa and members of the parents’ committee during the official launch of the preliminary tests of the state exam testifies to the importance given to education and to academic success in the Tshopo province.
