In March 2024, the Congolese political scene saw the emergence of a new opposition platform called “Alternative 2028”. Led by the initiator Ados Ndombasi, former national deputy, this new political formation aims to be the spearhead of a more peaceful, prosperous and just Congo.
At the heart of its vision, Alternative 2028 aspires to a renewal of the political class, highlighting the need for a credible and visionary opposition. For Ados Ndombasi, the real challenge lies in the opposition’s ability to transcend personal interests to focus on the general interest, thus breaking with the leadership quarrels which have weakened the country for too long.
Furthermore, the platform does not hesitate to address international issues, such as tensions with Rwanda and threats from terrorist groups like the M23. In a call for national unity, Alternative 2028 encourages the mobilization of all Congolese citizens to stand up to the common enemy.
By inviting the Congolese to join its ranks, this new political structure wishes to embody the hope of a better future for the country. Far from sterile power struggles, Alternative 2028 positions itself as a vector of positive change, advocating values such as peace, pride and prosperity for all inhabitants of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
