*Fatshimetrie: Signature of the commitment to support vaccination in Kwilu*
Last Thursday, May 2, a crucial step was taken in Kwilu with the signing of a strong commitment in favor of vaccination. Indeed, the Kwilu Provincial Assembly took the decision to actively support the Provincial Health Division (DPS) in its vaccination actions. This act demonstrates the common desire to protect the health of children and mothers against diseases preventable by vaccination.
During a solemn academic session held in the plenary hall of the Kwilu Provincial Assembly in Bandundu-ville, Dr. Daniel Nkila, representing the head of the DPS, passionately presented the theme central point of the meeting: “Vaccination, an essential intervention for the health of children and mothers in the province of Kwilu”. This presentation allowed the elected officials present to better understand the capital importance of vaccination in the prevention of diseases and the preservation of health.
The objective of this academic session was clear: to inform and raise awareness among elected officials about the importance of vaccination, so that they can play an active role in mobilizing their respective communities. By responding favorably to this call, the Kwilu Provincial Assembly affirmed its commitment to supporting the DPS in its efforts to ensure the success of future vaccination campaigns. This decision marks a decisive step towards better protection of the health of vulnerable populations in the province.
This laudable action was made possible thanks to the financial support of UNICEF, demonstrating the importance of partnership between public institutions and international organizations for the improvement of public health. By joining forces, the different actors involved in this initiative have laid the foundations for collective and united action in favor of the health of the most deprived.
In conclusion, the signing of this commitment to support vaccination in Kwilu constitutes a significant step forward in the fight against vaccine-preventable diseases. It demonstrates the awareness of local authorities of the importance of vaccination for public health. Let us hope that this surge of solidarity will continue and strengthen, thus making it possible to offer all the inhabitants of Kwilu equitable access to quality health services.
