A cloud of mystery surrounds the disappearance of Murjanatu Zubairu Jibrin Yewuti, a fourth-year university student. Her uncle, Alhaji Zubairu Jibrin Yewuti, reported her missing on Sunday morning. Known as Murja, she studies artistic education at the Faculty of Education. Murjanatu left her home in Piwoyi to head to the university on Friday morning but has not been seen since then, with her phone switched off.
Alhaji Zubairu expressed his concern: “It was her parents who called me to inquire if Murjanatu had visited my house, as all attempts to reach her by phone since she left Piwoyi have failed. I confirmed she had not been to my house and her phone was switched off.”
The family has informed the university administration and local authorities about Murjanatu’s disappearance. Alhaji Zubairu appeals to the public for any information on his niece’s whereabouts and urges them to contact the university or police if found.
As of now, the police in Abuja have not commented on the matter. The community is deeply troubled by this disturbing event and hopes for Murjanatu’s safe return and resolution of this perplexing situation.
