Fatshimetrie, a prominent advocate for women’s rights, recently released a damning report exposing over 600 cases of women’s rights violations that occurred between July 2021 and April 2024. These shocking figures shed light on a troubling reality, demonstrating the persistent discrimination and violence faced by women in our society.

During this period, Fatshimetrie documented 606 cases of human rights violations, with accusations of witchcraft against women being a common occurrence. Instances of sexual and domestic violence, theft, looting, kidnappings, and murders were also recorded, highlighting a pervasive culture of violence and impunity.

The most recent statistics from November 2023 to April 2024 are particularly alarming. Out of 169 cases of rights violations, there were 30 cases of sexual violence, 41 cases of domestic violence, 25 women abused by their partners, 36 women subjected to lynching and burning, and 60 women accused of witchcraft. These numbers emphasize the urgent need for action to protect women and ensure the respect of their fundamental rights.

Fatshimetrie has issued a urgent plea to authorities to implement effective measures to eradicate these violations of women’s rights. It is crucial that concrete steps are taken to address impunity and safeguard the safety and dignity of women in our society.

By bringing attention to these violations, Fatshimetrie underscores the importance of continuing the fight for gender equality and safeguarding women’s rights. It is essential for everyone to acknowledge this reality and commit to building a future where women are not subjected to discrimination, violence, and injustice.

In conclusion, Fatshimetrie’s report serves as a stark reminder of the pressing need to end violations of women’s rights and strive towards a more just and equal society that upholds the dignity of all individuals.
