The Minister of Youth, Introduction to the New Citizenship and National Cohesion, Yves Bunkulu, recently inaugurated in Kinshasa a project of capital importance: the National Volunteer Corps. This ambitious program brought together a first team of 50 young volunteers among the 150 planned.
Collaboration with the French Embassy in the DRC and the expertise of the France Volontaire association have greatly contributed to the implementation of this innovative project. The National Volunteer Corps aims to promote civic engagement, strengthen social inclusion, consolidate solidarity and encourage the civic participation of young people. This is a major initiative to promote the skills of Congolese youth and promote the search for peace.
By highlighting youth as the central pillar of his vision for the future of the DRC, the Head of State demonstrates his desire to place the aspirations of young people at the heart of public policies. This bold step also received the support and active participation of various youth associations affiliated with the National Youth Council.
This initiative is fully part of a global approach aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, youth employment and the consolidation of the Congolese social fabric. Thanks to strong partnerships and an inclusive vision, the National Volunteer Corps represents a significant step towards building a more united and engaged society.
In a context marked by numerous challenges, this project stands out as a concrete and pragmatic response to actively involve Congolese youth in building a common and prosperous future. By encouraging volunteering, citizen participation and solidarity, the National Volunteer Corps embodies the hope of positive and inclusive change for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
