“Innoss’B, new ambassador of the World Food Program in the DRC: an essential collaboration to combat malnutrition”

Innoss’B, the famous Congolese artist, has just been appointed ambassador of the World Food Program (WFP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This appointment comes in a context of high food insecurity and malnutrition in the country.

The partnership between WFP and Innoss’B aims to raise awareness among young people of the importance of healthy eating, school meals and strategies to combat malnutrition in the DRC. Thanks to its influence among young people, Innoss’B will be a valuable asset to the UN program.

Cindy McCain, Executive Director of WFP, welcomes this collaboration and underlines Innoss’B’s determination to build a better future for the people of the DRC. For his part, the artist says he is delighted to be able to contribute to solving the crucial problems of nutrition and education in his country.

This new collaboration brings a vibrant and influential voice to WFP’s campaign in the DRC. However, the UN agency highlights the urgent need for financing to address the budget deficit of US$548.5 million in the next six months.

This partnership between the PAM and Innoss’B therefore represents an important step in the fight against hunger and malnutrition in the DRC, and testifies to the artist’s commitment to healthy eating and food security in his country.
