**Three million dollars funding for the agricultural sector in Kasaï-Oriental**
A new initiative in favor of the agricultural sector has just emerged in the province of Kasaï-Oriental. Indeed, the company American United Investment Global (AG) recently provided funding of three million dollars to boost agriculture in the region. This significant amount was allocated to combat the food insecurity plaguing the province.
Following fruitful discussions between American investors and provincial authorities, a partnership agreement was signed to bring this project to fruition. Concretely, the funds allocated by the American company will mainly be directed towards the establishment of strategic food reserves in Kasai-Oriental.
The provincial government is responsible for identifying farmers in the region’s 5 territories, with the aim of grouping them into cooperatives. The latter will benefit from specific support from government monitors and agronomists, in order to optimize harvests and increase local agricultural production.
The provincial minister of agriculture welcomed this investment, noting that the province had already developed a five-million-dollar project to revitalize the agricultural sector. In addition, the American company is also committed to supporting the creation of an agricultural credit bank, thus allowing women to more easily access financing for their agricultural activities.
This partnership between American investors and the provincial government of Kasaï-Oriental is therefore part of a dynamic of development and the fight against food insecurity, with positive repercussions on both the local economy and the lives of farmers. of the region. An initiative that promises to revitalize the agricultural sector and open up new perspectives for the future of the province.
