Madbouly highlighted Egypt’s sustained efforts to maintain the strength and flexibility of its economy in the face of external shocks. He notably mentioned the government’s success in concluding a financing agreement with the International Monetary Fund worth 8 billion US dollars, thus demonstrating the confidence of this institution in the capacity of the Egyptian economy to achieve performance. positive.

Regarding continued coordination with the United States on climate change issues, Madbouly highlighted the establishment of the working group between the two countries, officially launched in February 2022 as part of the strategic dialogue. This collaboration gave rise to numerous initiatives, particularly in the areas of mitigation and adaptation, during Egypt’s presidency of COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh.
