“Leadership Conference 2024: Deep reflections on economic asphyxiation and the keys to authentic leadership”

The recent event organized by the Akinjide Adeosun Foundation (AAF) titled “Leadership Symposium and Awards 2024 Chapter 8” sparked lively discussions among the speakers present. This year’s edition was themed: “Economic Asphyxia – The Wisdom of Authentic Leaders” and was held at the Alliance Française, Ikoyi, last Monday.

At the event, former Governor Ambode drew attention to the current difficulties facing the country, emphasizing that these problems do not date from the administration of President Bola Tinubu. He stressed the need for executive reforms in the circle surrounding the President and urged Nigerians to stop the blame games and resiliently and patriotically support their country.

Ambode also stressed the importance of authentic leadership, emphasizing the empathy and responsibility of leaders towards the population. He encouraged leaders to show empathy towards citizens and give them hope for the future.

For his part, pharmacist Akinjide Adeosun, visionary of the AAF Foundation, stressed the importance of transparency, integrity and empathy, even in the context of economic and social challenges.

Furthermore, Kelvin Emmanuel, Co-Founder and CEO of Dairy Hills, offered strategies to navigate through these challenging times, emphasizing the need for physical federalism in Nigeria, enabling states to manage their economies autonomously. .

Finally, Professor Ayodele Coker, psychiatrist, highlighted the importance of mental health in today’s economic challenges, highlighting the crucial role of good mental health in governance and leadership.

This event was therefore an opportunity for speakers to discuss the economic challenges facing Nigeria and to propose solutions and constructive thoughts to overcome these difficult times.
