Title: Boost fundraising campaigns and strengthen communication to support Congolese women
In a context where the emancipation of women in the Democratic Republic of Congo is at the heart of societal issues, the FFC initiative, created in 2007 by a group of Congolese women, is of capital importance. Having awarded approximately 617 grants to local women-led organizations since 2010, FFC works to bridge the financial gap between international funders and local initiatives.
To consolidate these efforts, the organization is currently looking for a Fundraising and Communications Manager. This strategic role involves carrying out key actions aimed at effectively supporting the projects of Congolese women. The main missions entrusted to the Fundraising and Communication Manager include:
1. Fundraising:
– Identify and prospect potential donors, sponsors and grant opportunities.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors.
– Design and implement online and offline fundraising campaigns.
– Write grant proposals for funding opportunities.
– Organize and participate in fundraising events and activities.
– Track and report fundraising progress and financial goals.
2. Communication and Awareness:
– Develop and implement a global communications strategy.
– Create impactful content such as articles, press releases and visual aids.
– Coordinate public relations and media awareness actions.
– Interact with the community and supporters of the organization through different channels.
– Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate their effectiveness.
3. Donor Management:
– Ensure recognition and adequate valuation of donors and supporters.
– Keep donors informed of the impact of their contributions.
– Organize donor appreciation events and initiatives.
To excel in this role, you will need at least 3-4 years of proven experience in grant writing, fundraising and individual giving strategies, with a track record of success in securing funding from a variety of sources . A strong passion for human rights, particularly the rights of women and girls, as well as a gender perspective, will be essential assets for this position.
