Indeed, he revealed his intention to donate the sum of 300 million naira to orphanages across Nigeria, as part of his annual contribution to the nation.
This generous initiative is part of the actions carried out by the Adeleke Foundation, founded by Davido in 2022 with the support of other charitable organizations, with the aim of helping vulnerable children.
As of July 2023, the Foundation has already paid over 200 million naira to orphanages in the country, enabling 13,818 children to benefit from this valuable assistance. Davido also promised to make further donations in 2024, demonstrating his continued commitment to the most disadvantaged populations in Nigeria.
In an official statement, the singer underlined his desire to contribute to the well-being of his community: “I founded the DAF in 2022 with a deep desire and passion to continually assist and create an adequate framework for actions ongoing charitable projects, for the benefit of the Nigerian people.”
This altruistic move began in 2021, on the singer’s birthday, when he donated over 200 million naira after sharing his bank account details on social media.
