“Towards a revolution in the transport sector in Lagos: the suspension of the administrative committee accelerates change!”

In Lagos’ dynamic transportation landscape, significant changes are looming. Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Sola Giwa, recently announced the suspension of Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators’ Committee. The move aims to promote unity and peaceful coexistence within the transport sector.

In order to foster harmonious relations between the government and the transport union, this suspension is fundamental to ensure smooth transport service in the state. Indeed, it is part of an approach aimed at establishing reinforced collaboration between the different parties involved, to offer improved services to the population.

Consultations with stakeholders, including members of the association, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the general public, resulted in this decision. The aim is to ensure an enabling environment for peaceful and sustainable transport operations.

The members concerned are invited to scrupulously respect the terms of the agreement concluded to ensure the smooth functioning of the transport sector. It is essential that we work together to build a more efficient transport system, for the benefit of all residents of Lagos State.

This change marks a turning point in the transport sector in Lagos, paving the way for closer collaboration and improved services for the community. By encouraging cooperation and promoting a concerted approach, the government aims to establish lasting and fruitful relations with the transport union for the well-being of all.
