“President Tshisekedi mobilizes resources to save Trans-Academia and guarantee access to education for Congolese students”

Today’s article concerns important news in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, expressed his concern about the future of Trans-Academia, a student transport company. During the 123rd meeting of the Council of Ministers, the President underlined his commitment to providing affordable and sustainable transport solutions to the country’s young students.

Trans-Academia plays a vital role in providing transportation services to students, ensuring their access to educational institutions. However, the company is currently facing economic difficulties which could lead to its cessation of activity.

As part of his commitments to strengthen the efficiency of public services, President Tshisekedi instructed the government to take measures to prevent this situation and ensure the sustainability of Trans-Academia. He specifically asked the Minister of Finance to ensure that the necessary funds are allocated for the operation and equipment of the company.

In addition, the President requested the establishment of a commission composed of experts from the Prime Minister’s office, the General Inspectorate of Finance, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministries of Finance and Transport, Roads of Communication and Opening up , as well as the management of Trans-Academia. This commission will have the mission of analyzing the current needs of the company and presenting a quarterly progress report during meetings of the Council of Ministers.

This initiative demonstrates President Tshisekedi’s commitment to education and access to education for young Congolese students. By supporting Trans-Academia, it seeks to ensure that students can travel to school in affordable and safe conditions.

This measure will have a positive impact on young students, by offering them practical and structural transport solutions. It will also contribute to strengthening the efficiency of public services and promoting education as a pillar of the country’s socio-economic development.

It is encouraging to see a government paying close attention to the needs of students and committing to finding lasting solutions. We hope that these measures will lead to a strengthening of Trans-Academia and a significant improvement in access to education for young Congolese.
