“Humanitarian crisis in Gaza: Israel obstructs international aid and escalates violence against innocent civilians”

For several weeks, the situation in Gaza has continued to deteriorate. Israeli settlers have closed the border between Egypt and Israel, preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Additionally, protests took place in front of the main border gate on the Israeli side, according to media outlets such as Al-Arabiya.

Since the start of sending humanitarian aid on October 21, Israel has constantly posed obstacles to its distribution. Notably, it requires that aid first pass through the Rafah crossing point to the Ouga commercial crossing point, between Egypt and Israel, to be screened and inspected, then returned to the Palestinian side of Rafah – a journey of approximately 100 kilometers.

At the same time, the Minister of the Israeli Army, Benny Gantz, announced his resignation from the emergency government formed following the “flooding of al-Aqsa” operation on October 7. This decision would be linked to Netanyahu’s announcement of a “military regime” in Gaza.

According to UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, an estimated 17,000 children in Gaza are orphaned or separated from their families. The situation is becoming more and more depressing every day and the organization implores the world not to abandon these children.

On the ground, Israel continues its aggression against civilians in the Gaza Strip. Bombings and clashes continue, notably near al-Amal hospital and in the town of Khan Yunis. Many civilians were injured or killed during these attacks. Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire also hit other areas, such as the city of Rafah.

In addition, the Palestinian Red Cross appealed for international help to find two missing paramedics. They had been sent to rescue a six-year-old girl when all contact with them was lost. The situation is worrying and the Israeli authorities must be urged to investigate this disappearance.

The Gaza Health Ministry said Israeli authorities carried out 13 massacres in the space of 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of 112 people.

It is urgent that the international community intervene and exert pressure on Israel to end this violence and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Innocent civilians should not be targeted and children should not be deprived of their families and their safety. The situation in Gaza requires rapid and concerted action to avoid an even more serious escalation of the conflict.
