For several days, social networks have been flooded with anonymous testimonies denouncing the horrible acts perpetrated by Hervé Bopda. The victims, women and men, recount in detail the violence they suffered, describing a violent and manipulative man who did not hesitate to brandish a firearm to intimidate his victims. Some were repeatedly raped, others were held captive for several days, or even disappeared after crossing paths with this character.
A pimping network:
The Hervé Bopda affair also reveals the existence of a vast pimping network, with possible complicity within the administration. Names of influencers, artists, economic operators and even high-ranking law enforcement and security officials are mentioned. Faced with these poignant revelations, the human rights commission of the Cameroon Bar asked the prosecutor to open an investigation into the Hervé Bopda affair. In addition, a group of lawyers filed a complaint with the Douala military court against this individual. However, Hervé Bopda did not sit idly by and filed a complaint for defamation against the whistleblowers.
