The South Africans showed great offensive efficiency and a good connection between the players, especially those of Mamelodi Sundowns.
In the second half, Namibia tried to respond, but came up against strong defense from South Africa. The Brave Warriors failed to capitalize on their chances, while Bafana Bafana continued to look dangerous. Thapelo Maseko took advantage of a long ball to score his team’s fourth goal, thus sealing the South African victory.
This match was an opportunity for South Africa to revive its hopes of qualifying for the round of 16 of CAN 2024. The South Africans showed great tactical mastery and formidable efficiency in attack. For their part, the Namibians still have a chance to qualify, but will face group leader Mali in their next match.
