On Monday morning, around 3 a.m., the company’s head of security urgently called the Amotekun anti-cult team to report an intrusion by armed robbers. Promptly, Amotekun agents went to the scene, accompanied by the Anti-cult Police. The criminals, when they saw the police, opened fire, leading to a shootout. Despite this, officers managed to bring the situation under control by arresting five suspects.
The arrests:
The five suspects arrested are: Adepoju Abdulateef, 18 years old; Rasheed Hammed, 20 years old; Liadi Afeez, 20 years old; Wasiu Sodiq, 21 years old; and Rabiu Lekan, 29 years old. All are from Oke-Baale, Osogbo. Evidence recovered from the scene includes a single-barreled shotgun with four spent cartridges, knives, cable cutters and an Itel phone.
The results :
Unfortunately, during the exchange of fire, three of the suspects were neutralized and their bodies were taken to the Osogbo University Teaching Hospital. The other five suspects, who suffered gunshot wounds, are currently being treated in hospital.
