The Lega Notables of South Kivu work for their active participation in the management of the country
The Lega Notables, a dynamic and committed people, met recently in Kinshasa, around the non-profit organization “Les witnesses de Fatshi”, with the aim of reflecting on their role and their place in the management of the country during the second mandate of the President Felix Tshisekedi. This meeting allowed the participants, made up of professors and executives from South Kivu, to highlight the resources and human skills that their community possesses, and to demonstrate their desire to actively contribute to the construction and development of a Strong and prosperous Congo, in line with the presidential vision of Félix Tshisekedi.
During this meeting, the head of the Lega notability, Charly Wenga, stressed the need for the Lega community to be represented in decision-making bodies. He expressed his desire to support the actions undertaken by the President of the Republic, by highlighting the specificities and strengths of the Lega community in public management.
For his part, the coordinator of the non-profit organization “The Witnesses of Fatshi”, Bienvenu Munyasubi, explained that the Lega notables had asked them to plead in favor of greater participation of their community in public management. According to him, nearly 10 million Congolese, belonging to the Lega community, suffer from a lack of representation in the country’s decision-making bodies.
As part of their demands, the Lega Notables pleaded for the appointment of their nationals to positions of responsibility, in order to demonstrate their abilities and integrity. They also called on the President of the Republic to promote the talent of South Kivu nationals in Kinshasa, in order to promote their development and respond to current challenges.
It should be noted that the Lega community, as well as the non-profit organization “Les witnesses de Fatshi”, are delighted with the successful outcome of the electoral process, with the re-election of Félix Tshisekedi. They also welcome the massive participation of Eastern Congolese in the elections, thus highlighting their contribution to the democratic life of the country.
