The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhy, recently launched the fifth edition of the Pyramids Half Marathon, a sporting event organized by the company TriFactory in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
This event benefits from the support of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and attracts nearly 4,000 participants from 82 different countries each year.
Ashraf Sobhy stressed that the Ministry aimed to promote sport and encourage sports practice for all. By organizing the marathon within the pyramids, Egypt also wants to boost tourism by attracting more and more visitors to the country.
The Minister also highlighted the political leadership’s support for such events, which contribute to promoting Egypt’s image internationally.
