This was stated by President Bola Tinubu last Friday when receiving a report entitled “Industrialization, energy security and climate change: issues, challenges and perspectives”, submitted by the 45th class of the Senior Executive Course. from the National Institute of Politics and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Abuja.
The President pledged to carefully review the document and integrate relevant recommendations into ongoing policies and programs under the Agenda for Renewal. He praised the wealth of research and recommendations contained in the report, saying: “I congratulate you on the good work accomplished. This report will be treated with all the seriousness it deserves. You have identified the problems, addressed the challenges and proposed constructive solutions, pointing the way forward to achieve our country’s sustainable development goals. Our hope is indeed renewed.”
The Director General of the Institute, Professor Ayo Omotayo, recalled that during the ten months of the training, the participants participated in conferences, seminars, brainstorming sessions, as well as study trips to 13 countries and 7 states in Nigeria. The class was made up of 97 participants from federal and sub-national governments, security and intelligence agencies, civil society, the private sector and trade unions.
