The General Directorate of Revenue of Kasai Oriental (DGRKOR) sector is experiencing significant changes with the appointment of a new team of command executives. This decision was taken by interim governor Julie Kalenga, with the aim of revitalizing activities related to revenue mobilization in the province.
The new DGRKOR team is made up of three key members. First of all, we have Kalenga Kabeya Simon, who has been appointed General Manager. Then, Kabasela Wa Mpanga Célestin was appointed Director in charge of tax revenue. Finally, Mpanda Kamunga Nestor will occupy the position of Director in charge of non-tax revenue.
This team will manage the financial management of the province of Kasaï Oriental and will have the main mission of maximizing revenues in order to support the implementation of the projects of the provincial executive program. Revenue mobilization is a crucial issue for the economic and social development of the region, and it is therefore essential to have competent and committed executives to guarantee its effectiveness.
The appointment of this new team demonstrates the desire of the interim governor to implement rigorous and transparent management of the province’s revenues. By strengthening the management of the DGRKOR, it is expected that tax and non-tax revenue collection activities will be optimized, thus making it possible to mobilize essential financial resources for the implementation of development projects.
This decision comes in a context where revenue maximization is a major issue for many provinces in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Indeed, financial resources are essential to finance infrastructure, public services and social programs. Effective revenue management also helps strengthen the financial autonomy of provinces, thereby reducing their dependence on central government funds.
In conclusion, the appointment of this new team from the General Directorate of Revenue of Kasai Oriental (DGRKOR) shows the desire of interim governor Julie Kalenga to strengthen the mobilization of financial resources in the province. The establishment of competent and committed managers is an important step in ensuring rigorous and transparent management of revenues. Let us hope that this new team will be able to meet the challenges and contribute to the economic and social development of the region.
