The weekend’s news was full of performances by Congolese players throughout the international championships. Whether by scoring goals, providing assists or receiving individual distinctions, our Leopards have shone on pitches around the world.
Jackson Muleka, who entered the game for his club Besiktas, scored a goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, his achievement was not enough to allow his team to win three points against Antalyaspor.
Chadrack Akolo continues to string together quality performances by opening the score in the 17th minute during the match against Stade Lausanne Ouchy. With three goals already in all competitions this season, Akolo confirms his good form.
Simon Banza, the new Leopard, is currently the top scorer in the Portuguese championship with ten goals. During his team’s last match, Braga won with conviction by inflicting a heavy defeat on Portimonense (6-1). Banza scored a hat-trick and provided an assist, thus confirming his place among the top scorers.
Meschack Elia, who had already caused a sensation in the Champions League with a superb goal against Manchester City, also shone this weekend by scoring a goal and providing an assist. His team, Young Boys, triumphed with a score of 4 goals to 1, temporarily regaining the lead in the championship.
Gaël Kakuta was also in the spotlight by scoring his third goal of the season in Ligue 2 during the match against Dunkirk. His goal in the 7th minute contributed to his team’s victory.
Thanks to his two assists, Grady Diangana greatly participated in the victory of West Brom, who followed up with a third consecutive success by winning 3-1 against Hull City. Diangana has had a good run of performances with two goals and three assists in his last five games.
Peter Mutumosi, since his arrival in Egypt after his time at AS V.Club, continues to impress. Starting five times in as many matches, he contributed to the victory of his team, Zed FC, against Zamalek (2-1). Peter Mutumosi was rewarded by being voted man of the match.
Finally, Glody Lilepo Makabi was voted best player of the month for October for Valenciennes FC in D2. A first reward for this talented Leopard.
Our Congolese players continue to shine on international fields, demonstrating their quality and potential. We look forward to seeing their next performances and supporting them in their sporting careers.
