“Ethnic crisis in the DRC: Buse Falay Georges calls for unity to resolve the conflict between the Mbole and Lengola communities”

The crisis between the Mbole and Lengola communities in the Tshopo province in the Democratic Republic of Congo continues to wreak havoc. To highlight this delicate situation, presidential candidate Buse Falay Georges sent a poignant message in which he expresses his concerns and calls for unity to find solutions.

According to Buse Falay Georges, the current situation is reminiscent of the tensions experienced during the 1964 rebellion, which have deep roots outside the region. It highlights the economic nature of this conflict, which has devastating repercussions on members of the Mbole and Lengola communities. Faced with this divisive cold war, the candidate calls for unity and solidarity to counter foreign interests who benefit from division.

Buse Falay Georges’ call for unity is based on the common history of the Mbole and Lengola communities, who have lived together for generations, sharing activities such as agriculture, fishing and livestock breeding without territorial boundaries. He also recalls that the province of Tshopo and the city of Kisangani are known for their hospitality, welcoming people of various origins and offering them responsibilities. It is therefore essential to put an end to the divisions caused by external interests to preserve this harmony.

The presidential candidate insists on the need for a peaceful solution to resolve conflicts and on the importance of unity in view of the next electoral events. He hopes that the population will be able to see a son of the Tshopo region take charge of the country, which would make it possible to pacify the region and put an end to an endless cycle of conflicts, often linked to the wealth of the region.

These statements come as a squadron of 250 police officers has been deployed to Kisangani to deal with persistent violence in the commune of Lubunga and elsewhere. The clashes are mainly caused by a land conflict and have already cost the lives of more than 500 people, leading to the displacement of more than 70,000 residents.

It is therefore urgent to find lasting solutions to this crisis and to promote reconciliation between the Mbole and Lengola communities. Buse Falay Georges’ call for unity and solidarity offers hope to overcome these challenges and end the suffering caused by these clashes. The population of Tshopo must mobilize and work together to build a peaceful and prosperous future for all.
