The National Day of the Federation of Protestant Women (FFP) was recently celebrated with enthusiasm in Butembo, North Kivu. This event brought together many Protestant women as well as members of revival churches in the area.
Under the theme “With Jesus, if we want, we can”, this day was an opportunity for participants to show their determination to bring positive change in their community and their country. Despite the difficulties encountered, they refuse to sit idly by and unite to find solutions to the challenges facing the country.
Zawadi Mangolopa, president of the federation of Protestant women of the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC/Butembo), stressed the importance of unity and collective work to overcome difficulties. She also expressed concern over the insecurity plaguing the region and called for the return of peace.
During this electoral period, Zawadi Mangolopa also called on the population to vote for leaders who are truly committed to changing things and not for those who only seek to enrich themselves once elected. She stressed the importance of choosing sincere patriots, ready to work for the good of the country and the people.
It is encouraging to see these Protestant women taking their destiny into their own hands and working for a better future. Their commitment and determination are a source of inspiration for all, men and women, to work together to face the country’s challenges.
The National Day of the Federation of Protestant Women is therefore an opportunity to celebrate committed women and to become aware of their capacity to bring real change to society.
