The national day of the Federation of Protestant Women (FFP) was celebrated with great fanfare in Butembo, in the province of North Kivu, on October 24. This event attracted a large number of Protestant women as well as members of some area revival churches.
Under the inspiring theme “With Jesus, if we want, we can”, this day allowed participants to highlight their capacity to bring significant change to society. The president of the Federation of Protestant Women within the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC/Butembo), Zawadi Mangolopa, stressed the importance of unity and solidarity to overcome the challenges facing the country.
She also expressed concern over continued insecurity in the region and called for a return to peace. Protestant women took advantage of this opportunity to implore an end to the violence and conflicts that are ravaging their community.
In this imminent electoral period, the president of the federation also appealed to the population to make informed choices when voting. It encourages voters to opt for true patriots, concerned about the development of the country rather than candidates motivated by personal enrichment.

Their call for unity, peace and wise leadership shows their commitment to a better future for their country and community.
