Stanys Bujakera Tshamala was arrested on September 8, 2023 at N’djili international airport, following the publication of an article by Jeune Afrique. This article implicated Congolese military intelligence in the assassination of Chérubin Okende. The journalist is accused of several offenses, including “forgery” and “spreading false rumors”, among others.
