Stanis Bujakera is accused of several counts, including “forgery” and “spreading false rumors”. His arrest dates back to September 8, when he was arrested at N’djili airport in Kinshasa. Since then, he has been detained in Makala Prison.

Stanis Bujakera’s lawyers pointed out a procedural irregularity in this case, since there was no summons to the defendant. Despite this, our colleague voluntarily agreed to appear before the Kinshasa-Gombe High Court. His lawyers requested his release, arguing that his detention is irregular given that the initial deadline granted by the court has already expired.
